Edward Willson

Edward Willson is an abstract stone carver from Bermagui on the NSW Far South Coast.

Edward works predominantly in the local Bega (Bega Valley Shire NSW) granite, finding the durability and extreme strength of granite the perfect medium to carve his thought-provoking, award-winning sculptures.

Edward draws inspiration from a wide range of topics, from deep space to the deep ocean, often referring to human nature, relationships, science, and the complexity of life on Earth. Fluidity and movement play a major role in his subtractive form of sculpture.

Edward studied at COFA Sydney, won a residency at the ANU Sculpture School, and has received various awards and acquisitions.

Edward exhibited in London, Berlin, and many Australian locations, predominantly in NSW.
